A Baytown woman is expected in court Monday on a charge of murder, accused of gunning down her boyfriend, using a machete to dismember his body and then putting the parts in different trash receptacles around the city.
Cierra Sutton, 30, was arrested Thursday by the Baytown Police Department, accused of fatally shooting her sleeping boyfriend on Aug. 15, then dismembering him, according to court records.
Lt. Steve Dorris, with the Baytown Police Department, confirmed Sutton’s arrest but declined to comment on the case, saying authorities still are investigating.
Sutton apparently reported that the man, whose name has not been released, was missing, initiating a search.
Parts of his body, wrapped in bed sheets and bound with duct tape, were later found in a Baytown landfill. Sutton was interviewed and later arrested.
