Buena Park police, California Highway Patrol pursue car from Orange County to L….


BUENA PARK — A car suspected of being driven by a person wanted by Buena Park police for a restraining order violation was pursued for nearly 45 minutes Tuesday night, Nov. 14 before the chase was eventually called off in Los Angeles, authorities said.

At 7:17 p.m. Buena Park officers notified the California Highway Patrol they were pursuing a woman driving a Ford Fusion, CHP officer Alex Rubio said.

Officers first chased the vehicle on the northbound 5 Freeway near Anaheim.

At 7:34 p.m. the CHP took over the pursuit at West Telegraph Road and  Greenwood Avenue in Montebello, Rubio said.

The pursuit was called off at 7:56 p.m on the northbound 5 Freeway at Fletcher Drive in Los Angeles, he said.

Police said once they confirmed the identity of the driver, they determined there was no immediate threat to the public and advised CHP they could stop chase, ABC7 reported.

No one was injured in the chase
