Legendary conductor, composer and pianist André Previn has canceled his upcoming appearance in Orange County with Pacific Symphony this fall. Previn, 88, was scheduled to conduct concerts on Oct. 19, 20 and 21 in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. He “has canceled due to injury,” according to a press release released by Pacific Symphony. “He is under doctor’s orders not to travel.” The nature of the injury was not disclosed.

Norwegian conductor Rune Bergmann has agreed to step in for Previn. The program will remain unchanged: the West Coast premiere of Previn’s “Almost an Overture,”  Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9, K. 271, with Garrick Ohlsson as soloist.
