Cody Hall went to great heights to propose to his beloved.
A giraffe helped him pop the question.
The big moment took place Sept. 24 at the Dickerson Park Zoo in Springfield, Mo.
Hall’s girlfriend, Makayla Blakey, thought she was getting a behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo, reported the Springfield News-Leader.
She had no idea that Hall and zoo officials had arranged a surprise: An engagement ring was dangling from Mili’s neck.
“They gave us this spiel about how we are going to feed the giraffe and help participate in a training exercise. They showed us the training exercise, getting Mili to point at a big tennis ball with her nose,” Hall told the newspaper.
“They gave Makayla a tree branch to feed the giraffe, and when it craned its neck out, the ring was hanging.”
Hall took the ring form Mili’s neck and got down on one knee.
