Mizzou starting wide reciever Dimetrious Mason is no longer on the football team, according to a report by PowerMizzou.com.
Mason, a sophomore, has started all four of the Tigers’ games this season and was their second-leading receiver with 13 catches for 119 yards. The report did not give a reason for Mason’s departure. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Mason was dismissed for disciplinary reasons. Mason remained on Mizzou’s football roster at MUTigers.com as of Saturday morning.
The Tigers, 1-3, are on a bye week. MU coach Barry Odom will speak to reporters at his weekly news conference Monday. The Tigers play at Kentucky on Oct. 7.
