Monarchs took their bye last week; their average margin of victory is 44 points against a rigorous schedule.

2. Mission Viejo 6-0 (240)

Joey Yellen passed for 423 yards and four touchdowns in Diablos’49-17 win over El Toro.

This week: vs. Tesoro, Friday

3. Orange Lutheran 5-0 (229)

Lancers idle last week; junior QB Ryan Hilinski has completed 75 percent of his passes, averages 350 passing yards a game.

This week: vs. St. John Bosco at Orange Coast College, Friday

4T. JSerra 5-0 (214)

Lions, who did not play last week, have defeated only one team with a winning record, Corona del Mar.

This week: vs. Servite at Cerritos College, Friday

4T. Santa Margarita 4-1 (214)

Eagles, coming off of bye week after losing to Mission Viejo, had allowed only 10 points in first four games before 28-23 loss to Diablos.

6. Servite 5-0 (200)

Friars averaged 44 points a game over their five nonleague wins.

7. San Clemente 6-0 (193)

Tritons were good at offense, defense and special teams in 23-20 win over Edison.

8. Edison 3-2 (170)

Chargers had early lead against San Clemente but couldn’t hang onto it.

9. La Habra 4-2 (168)

Highlanders, who did not play last week, looks like they will reclaim Freeway League title this season.

This week: vs. Sunny Hills at Buena Park High, Friday

10. Corona del Mar 4-1 (156)

Sea Kings return to top 10 after 28-7 win over Trabuco Hills.

This week: vs. Beckman at Newport Harbor High, Friday

11. Capistrano Valley 6-0 (153)

Zach Ritner, who had three sack in Cougars’ 35-14 win over Cypress, will be in the O.C. defensive player of the year discussion.

This week: vs. Laguna Hills, Friday

12. Villa Park (4-1)

Spartans, No. 13 last week, breezed to 60-0 win over El Dorado.

This week: vs. Esperanza at Yorba Linda High, Friday

14. El Toro 3-3 (114)

Like almost every other team, Chargers had a difficult time keeping up with Mission Viejo in 49-17 loss to the Diablos.

This week: at Aliso Niguel, Friday

15. Tesoro 3-3 (112)

Three of the Titans’ six games have been decided by five points or fewer, including 48-33 win over Los Alamitos last week.
