Roseville officers give blood, hope to start NorCal movement

After at least 58 people were killed and 515 were injured when a gunman opened fire on a country concert in Las Vegas, many people in Northern California are wondering how they can help all the victims of the mass shooting.

BloodSource, a Northern California-based blood donation center, is asking people to make appointments to donate blood at a number of area offices.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the tragic mass shooting that took place in Las Vegas late Sunday,” BloodSource officials posted on Facebook. “It’s the blood on the shelf that saves lives when tragedy strikes. Blood has a shelf life, so it is important that donations are given on an ongoing basis.”

In order to effectively manage the blood supply, BloodSource said people can visit its website here or call 866-822-5663 to schedule an appointment.
