Congress should decide
Under President Obama’s executive order there are about 800,000 young immigrants in the U.S. under the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program (“Trump’s DACA decision leaves Congress to find fix in short time frame,” Sept. 6). Most of them are good young people looking for a better life, but not all. Obama knew that once given legal protection that politically it would be extremely unlikely that any of those under DACA would have to leave the country. They would remain here permanently.
