Tustin’s football team rolled up the points, but was unable to contain Burbank defensively, falling 55-42, in the opening round of the CIF Division 7 playoffs Friday, Nov. 10, in Burbank.

The Tillers (8-3) were led by running back KC Carr, who had 29 carries for 339 yards and four touchdowns.

Carr finished his Tustin High career with more than 6,000 yards of total offense.

Tustin fullback Anthony Herbas had eight carries for 104 yards. Kicker Noe Salas kicked a 44-yard field goal.

The Tillers’ offense had 630 total yards in the loss.

“I want to congratulate Burbank on a hard fought win,” said Coach Myron Miller. “Both teams played extremely hard and it came down to who made the least amount of mistakes.

“We stopped ourselves on three drives with turnovers and penalties.  It’s not the ending we wanted but I’m extremely proud of how hard our team played.”
