Two injured in Orange crash

ORANGE — Two people were injured, one of them critically, in a traffic collision Tuesday, Nov. 14, authorities said.

Around 10 a.m., a 40 year-old woman driving a BMW 750 was making an eastbound turn from a parking lot west of the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Prospect Street when her vehicle was hit by a Nissan pickup truck traveling west on Chapman, Orange police Sgt. Rob Thorsen said in a statement.

The woman was transported by ambulance to an area hospital in critical condition. A 4-year-old boy in the BMW secured in a car seat was not hurt, Thorsen said.

A 31-year-old man driving the truck was also taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, he added.

No citations have been issued in the crash that remains under investigation.
