Two Tustin baseball players signed national letters of intent last week, according to baseball coach Charles Chatman.
Rodney Boone signed with UC Santa Barbara and Matt Elizalde signed with Loyola Marymount University.
“Rod, is an even better kid than he is a baseball player,” Chatman said. “He has been as dependable a guy can be on the mound for us and Santa Barbara is getting a solid arm and a fantastic young man.
“Matt is as good behind the plate as I have every coached. He is 6-3 and receives like he is 5-8, pitchers love throwing to him and he is like having another coach on the field. Loyola Marymount is going to love him as much as we do.”
